I paint objects that are fragile, transient and
perishable, flowers and fruit. I try to capture the
power and strength that I see in these ephemeral
objects, to give them a presence and expression
through the use of strong colour and contrast, to
represent the inherent beauty I see in their
inevitable decline.
My art is constantly evolving, not fixed to one
style or subject - inspired by my own life
experiences, which my work reflects.
